Final Week to enter the July Challenge - I Could have Danced All Night

Come on, peeps - you can do it - still time to enter this challenge and the odds are pretty good for a win!  It is not that difficult and there are many images that can be used other than a dancing pair - what about a dreamy window scene or bed scene from after the event - whatever that was!

Or perhaps something a bit more modern?

Or even to celebrate a particular event

Why not Google dancing, or go to Pinterest (don't get lost!) or shuffle through your stash........

Here are some more pieces fromthe Dt to get you inspired!

Wynn:    Image from Le Suh, decoupage sheet using one layer.
Ribbon on the ballet pumps!!

Susan - using the cut out from the iris folding card from last week!
The ribbon in this is the sequin belt!

Margaret
using sentiment and papers from Kaisercraft "Confetti" plus ballerina punch and ribbon

What a fabulous sentiment Margaret!

So just remember, no stamps and you should be OK

You can find the entries HERE

Mid Post for Challenge #37 - Dancing all Night!

I could have danced all night...... who remembers the wonderful film based on the play Pygmalion by George B Shaw in which this song was one of the main hits?

The song was actually sung by Julie Andrews - poor old Audrey couldn't sing very well!

I loved the costumes and the whole romance of this film - always disappointed that the Professor (misogynistic that he was) didn't marry her - rags to riches! Never mind, Pretty Woman took that idea and ran with it! Enough of this - on with the challenge!

I Could have Danced All Night -
with the TWIST of ribbons!

Our sponsor this month is

Scrapbook page of dance concert
Love that ribbon trim too!

Julene
As you can see she is a Spanish dancer cut from another card originally. She has used a 7 gypsies harlequin print plus French sentiment.

Samara - using a stencil

JANE - Using a sticker

Hilde using free ephemera found on Pinterest and with an added ribbon bow on the butterfly

Susan - my first attempt at Iris Folding

and this one is from a kit

Tracey - I went in a different direction than showcasing a dancer....this beautiful vintage boot got me thinking of ladies dancing, big beautiful vintage skirts swishing across the ballroom dance floor...and some gorgeous vintage ribbon to complete the look and bring the whole elegance factor up a notch.
Certainly did!

and

some of the Flourish with a Bling on a gift bag
Gift bag template from Katy Sue Fabulous Giftware CD.

Well, what do you think? Inspirational right? So, that should get you  thinking and creating and making something to enter for this July challenge - we look forward to seeing what you me up with! You can enter it HERE

What a gorgeous image Dreja has used - beautiful card - thanks Dreja! I can tell you, her cutting skills are much better than mine!

..and another angle....

Thanks, Kim - I do love that dancer die cut, and the way you have used ribbon and embellished this is fabulous!

Such amazing inspiration already - see, you are already getting some good ideas!

Now, the DT have taken up this challenge and really run with it - as you will see!

Firstly,

Samara - using a stencil and journalling in her altered book......

Yep, definitely FUN! How wonderful is that image - full of light and movement

JANE - Using a die cut and sticker

Shake those hips baby!

Using a picture from Blue Cardigan Designs Impressionist Art Accent sheet

I love Degas' dancers - I think this is one or if it isn't it reminds me of one - so romantic.

Wynn -
she was worried about the shadow from the window shutters but I think the whole card is just magical

Susan - using a pearl flourish created by our sponsor; I did dismantle it a little.....

and
Hilde - An interactive Scrapbook page: the top part has a pull out tag, and there is lots of bling of course!

I love the fact that Hilde has used a music sheet here with the song on it - and that wonderful image is so evocative.

Well, there you have it at this stage.......you have until the 1st August to enter this July challenge. Remember NO STAMPS are to be used in your creation.  It can be a card or a scrap page or a page from your multi-media art journal. As long as it is inspired by the theme - and we hope you will be encouraged enough to add the TWIST too - RIBBON!
